Shane Acker's "9"

What happens when you take away the "District" from District 9?  Crazy, freaky, sh#t!  Based on an Academy Award nominated short of the same title, this film looks to perfectly encapsulates the memorizing quality of bizarre, nightmare imagery.   And I'm not talking "blood-n-guts" which apparenty the entire film industry decided was the equivalent to "scary,"  I'm talking Tim Burton scary, warped and twisted yet at the same time profoundly beautiful.  Check out the trailer to a film which, I think, can only be described as the visual and thematic antithesis of Little Big Planet's sack people world.
