New Trailer Friday
Christopher Nolan's Inception
I feel like I need to justify two inconsistencies here. First off, this trailer really isn't that "new," and secondly, there are some that might argue it's not much of a trailer anyways. I suppose it's properly a "teaser," but quite frankly, the trend of trailers telling you THE ENTIRE PLOT of a movie could use a bit of tweaking. I'm happy to be intrigued just enough to want more, and fortunately, this trailer hits that on the head. You might of heard of Chris Nolan's minorly successful films thus far, small stuff like The Dark Knight, The Prestige, Memento (that's called sarcasm, kids). Seriously, add Nolan's writing and directing talent to a starring role by Leo DiCaprio, one of the finest actors out there in my opinion, and that would be all I needed to hear. But fortunately, Nolan has given us a sneak peek into the crazy world of Inception, a self described "contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind" with what looks like a loose grasp on the concept of which way is "down." Sweet!
Despite its short length, I'm already sold, but in the words of a recently cancelled childhood icon, "you don't have to take my word for it." Salute.
